"Murol" Murol by Keetje

We zaten op een heerlijke camping vlak bij het stadje: "la Ribeyre": niet al groot en niet zo vreselijk druk.
Murol is een stadje op ongeveer 30 km ten westen van Clermont Ferrand.
Er zijn veel mooie kratermeren in de Auvergne. Het is een prachtige omgeving om te wabdelen of rond te toeren. Ook kan je de "Puy de Dôme" bezoeken of de "Mont Dore", deel van het Massief van Sancy.

We were on a wonderfull campingsite near the village, "La Ribeyre". Not too big or too crowded.
Murol is a little village, about thirty kilometers east of Clermont Ferrand.
There are a lot of craterlakes in the Auvergne. The region is wonderfull for strolling or touring around. Also you can visit the "Puy de Dôme", near the city of Clermont Ferrand or the "Mont Dore", part of the "Massif deSancy"

The castle of Murol by night

Het kasteel werd gebouwd in het begin van de 12e eeuw. Het is gebouwd op een rots op een hoogte van 833 mtr en heeft een omgewone vorm, nl rond.
Uit welke richting je Murol ook nadert, je ziet altijd het kasteel al van ver.

This castle was build at the beginning of the 12th century. It is build on a rock (height 833m) and has an unusual shape: round!
From wich direction you appraoch Murol, everywhere you can see the castle from a great distance.

Little square at Super Besse

In Super Besse vind je heel oude straatjes en pleintjes.
Je kunt er heerlijk op een terrasje zitten en je in een ver verleden wanen (even de auto's vergeten die je geparkeerd ziet staan).

In the village of Super Besse you find very old streets and little squares.
It is wonderfull to sit on the terrace of a little pub and image you are in a long lost period (just forget about the cars that are parked there).
