I went to Majorca last summer with two of my friends as we found a great price for planeticket/hotel and wanted some fun and sun. We stayed at Balear Beach, a simple but okay apartement-hotel close to Palma Nova. We had a lovely view over the beautiful beach and a really large and spacey balcony. Perfect! Unfortunately we arrived at the end of the season, so most bars and clubs were half-empty. Magaluf is primarly a place for wild parties and beach-life, there's not much to see or do.. We heard a rumor that the food was supposed to be terrible, but we were pleasantly surprised, it was cheap and tasty! We spent most of our time at the beach. The beaches are lovely... clean and tidy, white sandy beach and lovely water. The sunbeds are great as well. It was close to shops and restaurants.

Even though the bars and clubs were all open, they were unfortunately almost deserted.

One afternoon we took a taxi to Palma, the taxi driver told us that everything was closed, but we just figured it was siesta.. It wasn't. It was some odd, very local holiday.. El Corte Ingles, H&M, Mango and Zara were open though, but it was a bit creepy to walk around in the deserted town.
