Paris Hotel Tips by jasonnm

Old-fashioned hotel, but nice with marble staircases and art work. Was ungoing some work when I was there, so possibly nicer now. Staff were reasonably friendly. Was very impressed when the manager wrote to me personally, after some comments I made on my survey form... never happened before or since! Nice to see somewhere that cares about what you think.

Room service food was above average, but HUGE portions!

Unique Qualities: Less than 2 minutes walk to the Champs Elysees, how can you argue with that?!? and if you are getting homesick, there is at least one decent pub on the same street.

Stylish and touchy-feeling boutique hotel, 5 mins or so from the Champs Elysees. Very nicely furnished rooms, all individually done with furry curtains, fluffy towels and Molton Brown bathroom stuff.
Tiny workout room (can't bring myself to call it a "gym") and the over-priced and over-rated bar are the only downsides.
Free wired internet access.

Very expensive hotel but worth it!

Unique Qualities: Each room is individual, so you get a different experience every time!
Serving "hatch" means you can get room service without having to see anyone (perfect if you just got out of the bath, or want breakfast waiting for you when you wake up!).
