My very 1st time in San Francisco |
|  | Believe it or not? I'd lived in CA for some times but never once been to San Francisco!! I first planned out a whole Coast Starlight trip, starting from LA all the way up to Seattle. But for the heck of this year's (2008) weather, I cannot make it up north due to heavy snow...and that means I've got a whole week (stuck) in SF.
First impression(s)...
"Diversity", with lots of Asian population, I feel a lil' closer to home (?!?)
"Public transport"; BART, Muni, Cable Cars, Street Cars...very accessible
"Tourists" from around the world, chaotic but somehow handleable, unlike NYC
"Softness", again unlike NYC, the opposite actually! (no offense guys!!)
"The blends" of modern facilities and old-school traditional charms |
