Whatever it takes, I'll be there...

W a R P ~ Don't get it TWISTED!!

WaRPer around da WORLD
A super-active, energetic and enthusiastic young Industrial Designer / Smoker / Drummer / Serious sport player / BiG TiMe travel-lover...

But sorry I’m not a good 'formal' writer. It's pretty much like I'm talkin' with close friends n gettin' a little over the edge sometimes. My stories are based on a very personal perspective, straight to the point and might be a bit rebellious for some people, but that's just the way I talk and strongly express how I really feel. So don’t expect any well, sophisticated high-language, thoughtful-written articles like most of the pages here do.

From Bangkok...originally !?!

This is my birthplace, though I lived somewhere out of this country for a while, Bangkok is the city I spend more than half of my life in...

As I always say I'm such a *dUD* as a local who know so little about my own hometown. From a different point-of-view, Bangkok for me is where life goes on, not as a tourist destination. In this community, you'll find many non-Thai VTers who (seem to) know every bit in every corner of Bangkok, which makes me feel really small. -- Anyway, if you have any questions on: NIGHTLIFE - LOCAL RESTAURANTS - TRANSPORTATION - SPA & HOSPITALITY then try me!!!

World's a playground

Started out at the age of 2, I moved to the States (while my mom was having her med post-grad) and spent my childhood years there before getting back to Bangkok for middle-school. Since then I've been spending most of my summers (winter/fall/spring) travelin' or visitin' my friends and folks all around the world till today ^o^ Then...What's next? From Bangkok...to Long Beach...to Irvine >> I'll be relocating to Atlanta by the end of July'08
A Travel 'YUP' Yeah that's me. I'm a "City Girl" -- A Techno freak!!
Though I love adventure and wild stuff, I'm still attached to fast-pace, big city lifestyle. Nightlife, lights 'n sound -- just can't live without 'em.

As an Independent Traveller who's always against group-touring
I hate taggin' along with tourist groups, actually...I tried a couple of times, but it SuCKs !!! Good travel experience could never be limited by those solid timeframes... We need to have our own pace, our own inspiration or else your trip will be just a FloP!

I was born and raised "Independent" many said I'm a bit aggressive comparing to typical Asian girls, so? I'm just not a stereotype and never wanted to be one!! That's why I enjoy backpacking so much cuz you are 100% fully in charge of yourself.....not by following others' ass!! Just remember *** Be cool, don't freak ***

Setting my own rules

Rule#1 Sleep nice, don't mind a few extra bucks
Rule#2 No shared-bathroom please!!
Rule#3 Surface travelling - 1st mode of transport
Rule#4 Dip into the local culture:: talk to the locals, eat local food etc.
Rule#5 *IMPORTANT* Never miss the local beers
Rule#6 Book a day-trip if it should, cockiness does NOT always pay off
Rule#7 Be flexible, but not too flexible

(( You would never get my high marks for "Cheapest, stingiest travel" or "Number of places visited" (e.g. 4 countries in 10 days) cuz it doesn't make you a GREAT backpacker at all!! In fact, it's a total annoying issue that keeps buggin' me for some times now... ))

"The 7 Continents" - 6 down!!

Here's a rough skim through countries I've already set foot on;
(I DO NOT count transits / passing-on-the-way / half-day stopovers, cuz that's cheating!!!)

ASIA Pt.1 :: Thailand (home), Malaysia (x2), Singapore, Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam
ASIA Pt.2 :: Japan (x8), China (x2), Hong Kong (x3), Taiwan
ASIA Pt.3 :: India, Nepal, Sri Lanka
AUSTRALIA & OCEANIA :: Australia (x3)
AFRICA :: South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique
NORTH AMERICA :: Canada (x4), US (lived there)
SOUTH AMERICA :: Colombia
