Getting TO/AROUND: The cheapest way to travel from Phuket Airport to Patong Beach is by local van/bus. When you exit the Phuket airport at the main entrance, take a left turn and look for this sign. As you approach this sign, you will be approached by locals offering you a ride to Patong beach or other destinations in phuket for a flat rate of 150BHT. Taxis will charge you a rate of 1200 to 1500 BHT to the same destination. I think you can work out the math from here.

Getting TO/AROUND: We rented this for 200 BHT per bike and pumped another 100 BHT petrol to go around the whole island. Our whole journey around the island for only 300 BHT in total. Nice..just becareful when you biking in phuket town as its a little busy and also try not to bike when it gets dark.

Getting TO/AROUND: If you want to get around cheap, i suggest you take the local transport. Just note that there is 2 bus stations in Phuket town. One runs within Phuket island and the other runs interstate. Make sure you check out where you should be. 1) Patong beach to Phuket town - 20 BHT. Busses runs every hour along patong beach. 2) Phuket town to Phuket Airport - 55 BHT. Busses runs every hour
