We have been to Port of Spain, Trinidad two times. However, each time was only for one night, as we were only transiting on our way to and from Georgetown, Guyana. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express near the airport in Trinidad. This hotel is a little on the high dollar side, with a pool and great continental breakfast every morning. They offer complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport each at most hours of the day and night. If you are transferring flights between North and South America the Holiday Inn Express is an excellent choice for the night. There is a very large mall with a vast food court within walking distance to the hotel. This hotel is in an very upscale neighborhood; therefore, walking around will not pose any problems. We flew Liat Airlines to Georgetown and back from Georgetown from Trinidad. The first time they left only a little late, the second time they left 4 1/2 hours late. |
