Go to a "Ball" in the Hofburg.... But you need... Money (entree about 60 Euros, for Students cheaper) Men: Smoking or a Frack Women: Long Dress (not white :-) ) BUT: You just have a chance in winter....Januar and Februar...after the Carneval it`s over

For cheapest way take the tram 38 from the "Schottentor"....the ticket costs 1,50 Euro Just drive to the last station, takes about 25 minutes...

Get inside and ask for the large library :-) It`s phantastic...but be quiet....maybe I`m learning there, too :-)

In the 9th district, two minutes from the Palais Liechtenstein...just ask, people will know the way.... It`s not too spectacular...but when you have a few days more in vienna, visit this place...

Just walk from the "Heldenplatz" in the city center and you will pass the Michaelerplatz (it`s the backside of the Hofburg, too
