The setting for this city is truly what you'd expect from a John Wayne western movie, with desert, mountains and the stereotypical suguaru cactus. Truly remarkable.

World War II Bomber-a B-29 I think

Visit both the Pima Air & Space Museum and the Sonoran Desert museum. Both are excellent and well worth the price of admission.

Photo below is from the Air Museum with many fine old restored warplanes-probably partly due to the proximity of Davis Monthan Airbase.

Don't waste your money. This place is a rip-off. And believe me we've been ripped off by some good ones. This one ranks high on that list-probably in front of the Winchester Mystery House for non-value. We were very disappointed-our entire stay was about an hour-and we'd seen everything there was to see in 20 minutes.

Save your money-avoid this place and travel an hour further southeast to Tombstone-a tourist trap on its own, but one with legitimate history.
