The Botanist: LOVED this place!!!

I'd read about this uber-trendy restaurant on Gwyneth Palrow's blog, GOOP. It sounded great but sort of annoyingly-trendy and to a certain degree, it is. There are LOTS of Pippa Middleton-types (what's wrong with that?) who seem to have a lot of money to spend on clothes and purses but still, the people watching is wonderful and the atmosphere is relatively unpretentious for what it is.

It's very much the restaurant of the moment and I loved it. The vibe is fun, the noise level is tolerable, the decor is stunning and the food was great. Now, that said, I think I might have been the only one at the table who felt that way (one dish was sent back), so I could be wrong, but I can definitely say I enjoyed my meal. We had a plate of oysters that was totally to die for and I LOVED the wine and I am NOT a wine gal. I would highly recommend it, although I'm not sure I have the popular opinion here.
