Singapore is an island country and the smallest country in Southeast Asia. Foreign investment and rapid government-led industrialisation has created an economy which relies on exports of electronics and manufacturing primarily from its port. Singapore has the highest standard of living in Asia, and is ranked 11th in the world. It is the 22nd wealthiest country. Some of its tourist attractions are: Merlion Park, Jurong Bird Park and Sentosa. Our trip to Singapore is a very memorable one coz it's the first time for us to go on our own without joining a tour. From the airport to the hotel and vice versa, to visiting the various attractions, we were able to do it on our own. Of course, it requires time and planning. We also need to study the map and MRT routes. And we never got lost! |
