Manila Sunset
Manila Sunset is really beautiful. We got to enjoy this on our visit to Mall of Asia in Manila. At approximately 6pm, I quickly went to the mall seaside boulevard and took pictures of the whole episode.
Address: SM Central Business Park, Bay City, Pasay City
Directions: Located west of Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City, at the southmost tip of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue.

University of Santo Tomas
University of Santo Tomas is the oldest and largest university in the city of Manila. Inside can be found the oldest museum, line of eateries & popular fastfood chains, bank, public pay phone, elevator & a very huge ground. The complex is so huge that cars can get inside & park. It is a very impressive structure with very nice architectural design.
Address: Espana St., Sampaloc, Manila
Directions: Take a jeepney with UST sign along Taft Avenue.
Phone: 02-7811815
University of Santo Tomas Museum
The oldest university of the Philippines houses an exhibition of ethnological objects, stuffed animals, mussels and paintings. It also has an extensive collection of historic documents and a noteworthy library with more than 180,000 volumes. Open Tue-Fri 9am-4:30pm. Admission P30; students P20.

Paco Park
Paco Park is a recreational garden area and was once Manila’s municipal cemetery for the well-off and established aristocratic Spanish families who resided in the old Manila, or the city within the walls of Intramuros during the Spanish colonial era. The cemetery is circular in shape, with an inner circular fort that was the original cemetery and with the niches that were placed or located within the hollow walls. A Roman Catholic chapel was built inside the walls of the Paco Park. Philippine national hero Dr. José P. Rizal was interred at Paco Park after his execution at Bagumbayan. Every Friday by sunset, "Paco Park Presents" feature the finest musical artists and chorales, local and guests performers for an evening of classical and traditional Filipino music.
Address: General Luna St., Paco, Manila
Directions: Take Lrt to UN Ave. Station & walk along Gen. Luna St. to Paco Park.
Coconut Palace
Coconut Palace is well worth the visit, admission costs P100, including a guided tour which takes just under an hour. This former guesthouse of the Marcos regime, superbly made of the best tropical timbers, was erected in 1981 especially for the first visit of Pope John Paul II who, in fact, refused to use it. Open Tue-Sun 9-11:30am and 1-4:30pm.
Address: Cultural Center Complex, Roxas Blvd, Malate
Directions: Take Lrt to Vito Cruz Station. Then take orange jeep at Rizal Memorial Stadium to CCP Complex.

Corregidor Malinta Tunnel
Malinta Tunnel Light & Sound Show is interesting for history buffs. It relates the happenings of World War II before the island was occupied by the Japanese. Fees of P150 is charged this being an optional tour. The tunnel tour lasts 30 minutes.
Address: Corregidor Island, Philippines
Directions: Take Sun Cruises Corregidor Island Tour with office near CCP in Roxas Boulevard.
Corregidor Island
Corregidor Island is an interesting place to visit if you're into history & tankers. Very popular among the tourists both locals & foreigners. In my opinion, I find the tour expensive charging P2T for a 5-hour tour. The buffet in the hotel is just ordinary, nothing special with very limited choices. The boat trip to the island took over an hour. Optional Malinta Tunnel Light & Sound Show is also available for P150. There's also a museum, lighthouses & a couple of bombed structures. You can also stay overnight for additional charges.
Address: Corregidor Island, Philippines
Directions: Take Sun Cruises Tour with office near CCP in Roxas Boulevard
Rockwell
Rockwell is a high-end mall with boutiques selling branded items. People who don't like crowded places prefer to come here to avoid chaos. You don't see people queuing here unlike some of the malls like SM. Good place to stroll & window shop.
Address: Makati, Metro Manila
Directions: Take MRT to Guadalupe Station. Then take a jeep to Rockwell from terminal beside Jollibee.
La Mesa Ecopark
For those looking for nature & cool air, La Mesa Ecopark is a good place to visit. Inside one can enjoy plenty of activities such as biking, swimming & boating. It's better to bring your own food coz there's nothing much to choose from. One can also find a lagoon, mini-forest, orchidarium, pavilions. I can also see people bringing tents for camping. If you are fit enough, you can climb a couple of steps up to view the dam. The flowers were really beautiful. Overall a place worthy of your time & visit if you don't mind the distance.
Address: East Fairview, Quezon City
Directions: Take a bus going to Fairview & ask the driver to drop you off where you can take tricycle going to the park.
Manila Ocean Park
Manila Ocean Park is a disappointment for us having seen Hongkong's version. It's hard not to compare the two. The kids were looking for the rides & the dolphin show as what they have seen in Hongkong. For a fee of P400, I can say it's not worth it coz we stayed for only an hour to be able to tour the whole place. Star City is a much better option for the kids as well as adults to visit.
Address: Luneta Park, Manila
Directions: Located near the Quirino Grandstand.
