I enjoy travelling to unusual locations not frequented by most tourists. Traditional tourist spots become wearisome due to crowds of people and the commercialism that is usually attracted to such spots. For this reason the little-surveyed edges of the world, be they the frontier borders of countries such as Türkiye and Iran, or the unexplored ocean bottom, or our planet's desolate deserts and its wild forests interest me most.
Also, the enigmas of our civilization interest me: the Mayan ruins of the Yucatan, ancient evidences of the first cultures in eastern Anatolia, and remnants of Phoenician and Hebrew dwellings in the Americas (!) have been the subject of some of my travels.
Why travel with the teeming hordes when you can explore the fascinating mysteries of our vast unexplored planet?
