Noodles: Aijsden Restaurant Chain

  • Restaurant Name: Noodles

This is a chain of Japanese noodle restaurants which we found to be reasonably priced, serving good food in clean surroundings throughout China.

There is one in Wangfujing Street

Favorite Dish: We usually ordered the spicy beef noodles.

    25 Yuan for one serve

Alvin our guide took us to this restaurant. We said we did not want to go where all the tourists went but somewhere where the Chinese went. We were rewarded - this place served very nice food and it had lots of local Chinese in it. I can't tell you the address only a photo of the sign and the fron facade!

We ordered fried salted beans(16 Yuan),sautéed pork Chuangong style (18 Yuan) and dry fried bamboo (23 Yuan) with rice and a large bottle of Tsingtao beer.

    Delicious!!

Favorite Dish: the fried salted beans

Oriental Plaza Food Court: Great food- cheap

  • Restaurant Name: Oriental Plaza Food Court

We went to this plaza a couple of times but tried different food each time. The food was fine!!

You buy a plastic voucher to the value of 50 Yuan+ and then go to each vendor who takes the amount of money for their meal from the card.

Whatever you have not used is then refunded.
