The city of Utrecht is the capital of the Dutch Province of Utrecht.
Its earliest foundations date back to Roman times (the year 47).
It's a wonderful city with canals, old architecture, great museums and good shops. I visit here quite often (for me it's only a half hour trainride away). Utrecht is a good place to be all year round.

I've been to Utrecht twice (once for football, once for work) and really liked the atmosphere of the city which you convey so well. Would have liked to have seen the Dick Bruna Huis too, despite the hoards of kids - maybe next time! |
