Getting TO/AROUND: Of course you should try and walk as much as possible to see as much as possible. But for those moments of quick transport or just resting a bit, there's the vaporetto! I walked most of the time during my 4 days in Venice, but also bought a 72 hours travelcard, valid on all vapo lines, which cost me 25 euro. In the end it turned out I'd used around 80 euro in tickets if I had to buy them per single! (imagine a day to the Lagoon is 4 singles already x5euro!), so this ticket seems a bargain to me. Also available in 24 and 48 hours, valid from the first time stamp. You can buy them at any Vaporetto Stop ticket window.

Nice page on Venice! Man, I just love that city. Spent an entire week there in 2002 and I dream of returning.
