I went here for work. Although interesting and very African, I kept thinking, "I'm glad that I didn't have to pay for this trip!"
There are 9 islands to CVI but this one isn't one of the tourist destinations. You might have to fly into Praia though, since it is their international airport (there is another on one of the other islands I was told.)
From what I was able to see, which wasn't a lot, its not a bad place but its very poor and not at all geared up for tourism.
To enjoy the place you really need to know a local. Fortunately, since I was on business, that was possible and I managed to do and see things that tourists wouldn't have a clue about.
- Pros:Nice people.
- Cons:Dirty. Primitive.
- In a nutshell:A real strange place in the middle of the Atlantic.

First of all, for the location it is pretty damn expensive! Since I was there on business I wasn't too concerned... more travel advice
