I've been going to Balai Resort in Anilao for a number of years now. I've always felt at home here. People are very friendly and the food is soo great!

The place is also perfect for your commune with nature. It's great to just sit there, stare at the water, be amazed by the magnificent sunset or simply lie on the deck with a book in hand. You can literally feel all the city pressures oozing out of your skin :)

Snorkeling and diving are a must here. Intro dive is quite cheap and you even get to see actual fish and corals (unlike the pool intro dive offered by other high-end resorts).

If you're afraid to go under water, just snorkel above it. Plenty of fish and corals at your doorstep. But you have to be careful of those little spiny sea urchins. Just remember to always wear your aqua shoes.

Ah, another relaxing day... life is good!

Pros and Cons

Pros:great snorkeling and diving, good food, friendly staff, beautiful sunset
Cons:long bumpy drive and might be difficult to get to when it rains
