On y va. The 2nd part of the tourist guide for Swabia.
Zwiefalten is home of another nice cloister (Munster 'Unsrer lieben Frau') on the little river Aach. Again, the best way to reach it is the car (or motorbike - the streets around are top for a little curvy ride and many people stop here for a litte spirtual break or to enjoy a freshly brewed beer). There is a brewery (cloister-brewery) with a good restaurant where you can eat and drink after strolling around if you manage to get a table.
Other Swabian treasures parts are: Obermarchtal, Unlingen, more to come. |
| | The Munster The Munster is a masterpiece of late baroque - built from 1739 to 1765. Many people from Swabia like do a pilgrimage to Zwiefalten and the place is quite busy most of the time. The little river Aach is flowing right through the courtyard in front of the main entrance. There are benches to rest and enjoy the view. The inside of the Munster is beautiful.
