  • Growing up I read Anne Frank's Diary more times than I can remember. So when I planned my trip to Amsterdam her house was a "must see". Words cannot express how I felt walking through the home where she and her family and two other familes hid during World War II. Everyone who visits Amsterdam should take some time and visit so that no one ever forgets.

  • Of course Amsterdam is famous for their coffeeshops. I was in Amsterdam over Thanksgiving week 2005 for the cannabis cup. I went to about 18 different coffe shops and every one was different. One of my Favorite was the Grey Area (Oude Lelistraat 2). it is the only coffee shop owned by Americans and while it is quite small the owners are GREAT! As I said I went to many shops, so if you have any questions about which ones had the best stuff please email me.

    Heineken Brewery / Experience: Beerlicous

  • We visited The Heineken Experience on a very rainy cold day. It was um, interesting to see how beer is made and the different types of bottles and ad campaigns throughout the years. I've been to the coke museum in Atlanta and it was basically the same thing. Of course the three beers (one is served right in the middle of the self guided tour) and free glass is an added bonus! There's plenty of interactive things there too!
