the crowne plaza is one of the newer high rise hotels in downtown san antonio. located on pecan street it is in the heart of downtown. a good location for the business traveler and a short walk to the attractions of downtown san antonio. the crowne plaza is the least expensive of the downtown high rise hotels.

the hilton is located on the corner of alamo and market streets in the center of the river walk entertainment area. almost all of the attractions of san antonio are with in walking distance of the hilton. not the best hotel downtown but because of it's excellent location i recommend it.

the crockett hotel is a historic hotel located near the alamo. the crockett hotel building is listed on the national list of historic places. this very nice hotel is owned by the same company as the menger. a nice change of pace from the newer high rise hotels in downtown san antonio.

built in 1859 the menger hotel is one of the oldest hotels in san antonio. the menger hotel is located across the street from the alamo. the quality of the service is excellent and is a nice change of pace from the newer high rise hotels in the area.

the marriott river center is a high rise hotel on the river walk. in my opinion it is the best high rise hotel in downtown san antonio. the marriott river center is across the street from the san antonio convention center. the marriott river center is a great place to stay if you are working the convention center.

the hotel contessa is my personal favorite in downtown san antonio. located downtown on the river walk it is with in walking distance to most of the attractions of san antonio. this suite hotel has very nice rooms and is less crowded than it's high rise neighbors. i highly recommend this first class property.
