in the heart of south georgia

nashville is a small agricultural town in south central georgia. nashville is the county seat of berriens county. nashville is located about 25 miles north of valdosta and about 20 miles southeast of tifton. this area might appeal to the traveler who wants to get off the beaten path. the county roads of berrien county offer glimpses of south georgia's rural past. in berrien county there are numberous ruined farm houses and barns that date back to the plantation days. also you can see numerous cotton, peanut and tabacco farms. a very interesting and scenic side trip off of I-75.
