copper rocket pub: beer, darts, pool, and music

the copper rocket is one of the best local music venues in central florida. they host bands that play hard rock to blue grass. see the attached website for a schedule of events. at 6:30 pm monday, wedsday, and friday the copper rocket hosts a trivia show which is a lot of fun. the trivia show is free and you can win a free beer each round. i personally host the trivia show most mondays. in the afternoon and early evening the "rocket" gets a local after work crowd. later when the bands perform they get a younger 20 to 30 something crowd. the copper rocket offers darts, pool, and an excellent beer selection. the "rocket" has a friendly cleintelle and is great place to visit in the orlando area.

jimmy buffet's margaritaville is a combination restaurant, bar, and store. margaritaville has three bars. margaritaville has a "key west" theme. a fun place to have a drink when at city walk.

the adventurers club is an oasis of calm in the noisy disco atmosphere of pleasure island. this bar caters to an older visitor to pleasure island. an update the adventurers club is now closed and soon will be demolished. in the near future disney plans to up grade the pleasure island complex

fiddlers green is an excellent replica irish pub located in winter park. nice decor, good beer selection, and pub food. fiddlers green is one of the best irish pubs in the orlando area.

Church Street Station: church street Church Street Station Review

church street station back in the 70's and 80's was orlando's top tourist entertainment venue. in the 1980's disney opened pleasure island and downtown disney to try to keep tourists in the disney complex after dark. the expansion of the theme park night time entertainment venues greatly hurt church street station. there are still bars and night clubs at the station, but it is a shell of it's former self. still, an interesting place to visit when in downtown orlando.

claddagh cottage: irish pub

the claddagh cottage is a very good replica irish pub in the conway area of orlando. they offer an excellent beer selection and traditional irish pub fare. the claddagh cottage is located in a non descript strip center on curry ford road a couple of blocks west of SR 436 near the airport. a great place to stop for a pint or two when in the conway area of orlando.

st. andrews tavern: british pub

st. andrews tavern is located in altamonte springs about 10 miles north of downtown orlando. st. andrews has an excellent selection of english and irish beer as well as other imports. they also serve good english food at moderate prices. st. andrews is the gathering place for english ex-pats living in the orlando area. in my opinion st. andrews is the best british replica pub in the orlando area.

the globe is a fun bar and pool hall located in downtown orlando. many of the bars downtown are a little scruffy but the globe is more upscale than it's neighbors. a nice place to drink and play pool in downtown orlando.

the bosendorfer lounge located in the grand bohemian hotel is a very nice piano bar in downtown orlando. it caters to more of an upscale older crowd than most of the bars in the downtown orlando area. a great place to visit for more quiet music and great cocktails.

scuffy murphys used to be located in the orlando entertainment area but has recently moved to college park. this new replica irish pub is a fun place to eat and drink in the college park area of orlando.

Directions: about two miles northwest of downtown in college park. from I-4 exit princeton street then west to edgewater drive. turn right on edgewater and it will be a couple of blocks on your right.
