located just east of orange ave. in downtown orlando is lake eola park. lake eola is an oasis in the middle of the city. pictured is the lake eola fountain which is a landmark of the city. a nice place to visit during the day to jog or just relax and have a picnic lunch. however lake eola park should be avoided after dark due to orlando's large homeless and drug dependant population.

the most interesting thing to do in downtown disney is the cirque du soleil-la nouba. the story line of la nouba (to party) is the clash of cultures between the circus people, (cirques) and the urban people, (urbains). there are a number of acts using the high wire, trapeze, cycles, trampoline and more. la nouba is a fascinating artistic display of acrobatic skills. the tickets are expensive ranging from $60 to $100 a seat however it is a worthwhile experience.

wet n' wild is a water park on international drive. the offer a swiming area with man made waves. they have several water chutes, slides and fumes. there is a kid's park with miniture versions of the adult slides for children under the age of 13. a nice place to cool off on central florida's hot summer days. a one day adult admission is $ 36.95

this interesting upside down building houses wonder works. wonder works has a collection of interactive computer simulators. the visitor can land the space shuttle, fly a fighter jet, experience an earthquake and play lazer tag. wonder works also has a comedy club dinner theater. reservations for the comedy club are recommended. a nice place to take children in the I-drive area.
