if on a budget the days inn is one of the most inexpensive motels in key west. the days inn is located on roosevelt blvd on the east end of the island. on the east end of key west is where you will find the most inexpensive hotels and motels. the only problem with this area is that you must drive or take a taxi to the major attractions of key west. the days inn key west has all the amenities that you would expect from this budget hotel chain. next to the registration desk is a waffle house restaurant. like most key west motels prices will be much higher during the winter tourist season.

the southernmost point guest house is located in the 1885 victorian home of cigar maker eduardo gato. this guest house has seven small rooms and a small pool. located across the street is the southern most beach and next door is the southern most point in the U.S. this section of duval street is a lot more quiet than the northern end. this is not the best guest house in key west but it is a great value. as with most hotels in key west prices are much higher during the winter tourist season.

the pier house was once the best resort hotel in key west but now there are a couple of newer high end resorts in the area. the pier house is located on the north end of duval street near the key west harbor. the pier house is a first class property near all the attractions of key west. expensive but because of it's excellent location worth it. as with most hotels in key west prices are much higher during the winter tourist season.

Casa Marina Resort: historic hotel

the casa marina resort hotel is my favorite place to stay in key west. this elegant old hotel dates back to the 1920's. what i like about the casa marina is it's location. it is walking distance to smathers beach and the southern most point but far enough away from the party area of duval street. this property has a private beach and is an excellent place to relax in key west. the casa marina is owned by wyndam so you can expect all of the amenities of a first class resort hotel. expensive, and as with most hotels in the keys prices are much more expensive in the winter tourist season.
