cesky krumlov Cesky Krumlov Review

cesky krumlov is a very worth while side trip when in prague. by train you go to ceske budejovice then connect to cesky krumlov. the trip takes about 3 1/2 hours. you can easily see cesky krumlov in an over night stay. i suggest leaving prague early and get there in the early afternoon and spend the night. spend the following morning in cesky krumlov and return to prague in the afternoon. this will give you plenty of time to see the sites of cesky krumlov. this is one of the most beautiful medieval towns in europe and should be included when planing a trip to prague. see my cesky krumlov pages for more information.

armadni muzeum (army museum)

the czech army museum is a very interesting place to visit for students of 20th century history. the museum has an excellent collection of uniforms, small arms, and light artillery from WWI, WWII and the soviet occupation. the museum traces the history of the czech army from before WWI to modern times. the collection of nazi germany uniforms and small arms is the best i have ever seen. the museum is located in a soviet era building next to vitkov park in the zizkov district of prague. from the train station take wilsonova street to husitska street. cross the railroad tracks then to u pamatnika. u pamatnika is a small lane up the hill to the museum.
