kufstein austria is a charming town located on the A12 motorway about half way between innsbruck and salzburg. of interest to tourists is its beautiful town center and festung (fortress) kufstein. you can see the sites of kufstein in a couple of hours. kufstein is a very worth while stop when in the austrian tirol.
