donegal is a pleasant market town about 60 miles southwest of derry/ londonderry on N15. the name donegal means fort of the foreigners due to a viking outpost that was once there. in the center of the town is a square called the diamond, from this square all of the attractions of donegal are within walking distance. the two main attractions of donegal are the donegal castle and donegal abbey. donegal hosts a number of good restaurants and pubs. |
