located in the heart of the mosel wine country is traben-trarbach. what makes traben-trarbach unique from the other villages along the mosel is it's jugendstil architecture. due to a fire that destroyed traben in 1876 most of it's traditional half timbered buildings were replaced by new art-nouveau structures. also worth visiting when in traben-trarbach is the ruins of schloss greuenburg and the near by kloster machern. |
