A little bit of history...

St. Thomas, Ontario is where I am from. It is 2 hrs from both Detroit, USA and Toronto, Ontario. It is known as the "railway city", as it was a major train hub at the turn of the century. Jumbo the Elephant from the Barnum and Bailey's Circus fame was killed in St. Thomas, he was hit by a train. There is a large statue of Jumbo that welcomes visitors to the city and is worth a look. It is a quiet town of 30K people now.
