"Trip to Japan" Japan by sinjabc

In late March 2009, I went to Japan for two weeks. I visited Tokyo, Nariyama, Naoshima, Hiroshima, Osaka, and Kyoto. I bought a JR Rail pass for two weeks, which included the Narita Express from the airport and back.

I found it useful to know a few phrases: good morning, good afternoon, yes, no, no thank you, thank you very much, excuse me, delicious, how are you, I'm fine, what time is it, the time is [time], and counting from 1-to-10. Most people did not speak English. There are stray cats everywhere and are timid. If you get too close to a cat, it will run away.

I really enjoyed the people, culture, art, food and music of Japan. The food prices were comparable with Canada. I am looking forward to returning to Japan to tour the north and the southern region of the country.
