While visiting the Villa the groundsmen actually invited me into their office where we sat and had coffee and tried to converse despite our language differences. After what eventually became a game of smiles and charades, I was given a bouquet of fresh flowers from the gardens and a guided tour. Very nice. A must see while in Varenna. |
