This is not your typical ghost tour. This is led by a research group that investigates actively haunted sites. The tour meets in front of the Old Water Tower at the Corner of Michigan and Chicago Sts. When we were looking for the meeting spot we found that asking the people doing the horse and carriage rides did not know what we were talking about. The Van that meets you parks on the smaller street if that helps at all. Once you see the van you can't miss it (Think Ghostbusters movie) You are driven to an actively haunted site and taught how to use the ghost hunting equipment and then split into groups and how far you go is up to you.
I was dragging my friend Vanessa around and we decided to give this a try. She and I met in Italy and have met up a few times for adventure. This is just one more page in our diaries!
At one point while "communicating" with a ghost Vanessa told him the ghost to touch me. ACK!!! I was standing alone by a window and I swear on my fathers grave SOMETHING poked my right arm. Just then another guest holding a tempurature device said "it just got 85 degrees behind your right arm." That was enough to cause me to consider opening the window and excusing myself from the room, the building, and perhaps even that particular block.
I have taken the ghost tour in Edinburgh Scotland that leads one thru the underground vaults. That tour is a walking tour that leads one to various parts of the city where death and murder occured. This is not like that. This tour has you actively participating in looking for ghosts.
