Banhof Strasse is the chic shopping strip in Zurich. It is comparable to Champs Elysee in Paris. Maybe not affordable for most tourists, myself included, but it is nonetheless nice street for window shopping. |
| | Zurich main train station Zurich main train station is both lively, efficient and bustling of activities. It is one of the spots for early merriment during the Zurich street parade. It offers several restaurants, extremely clean paid public toilets, lauggage lockers, all kinds of stores for shopping, the world's largest vending machine and train connection to practically anywhere you want to go from Zurich. Be sure to see the Traveller's Angel, a piece of artwork by Niki de Saint Phalle hanging from the rafters. Oh, for chocolate lovers, a quick stop at Sprungli would satisfy your cravings. |
