  • The amusement park inside Circus Circus is a lot larger than I expected with a couple of large coasters that will get your adrenaline pumping. For the real thrill seekers though, you want the coasters on top of the Stratosphere. A couple of them dangle you over the edge of this over 1,000 foot tower and one of them zooms you around the edge. I personally love adrenaline, but since everyone else was too scared, I chickened out unfortunately. Are you brave enough?

With so many shows to choose from, it's best to really look into this. Showtickets.com is your best bet when purchasing them and you definitely want to start booking weeks or months in advance depending on how well-known the show is. And check out if a singer, musician or magician is passing through since there are many shows that are not year-round.

I went to a Cirque de Soleil show, Mystere, which is one of four of the Cirque shows. I wanted to go to "O", but even though I was booking 3 months in advance, the only seats left were in the nose-bleeds with partial views. I got great seats at Mystere and this two-hour show left me in complete amazement. It was funny, extremely entertaining and awe-inducing. I left there wanting to go back and see it again. There is an entertaining man before the show starts dressed like an extremely unkept usher; he will seat people in the wrong seats, throw popcorn at people while they are being seated, tear up their tickets (after they have been let in of course), and it's quite amusing. Be on your gaurd.

I spent a couple of hours in Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum in the Venetian. It was fun to pretend that you're friends with the stars and some of the pictures actually look like the person was real.

There is a Spa called Desert Wind Therapeutics a couple miles down from the Strip and it's not widely known, but the service and prices are great. The services are above and beyond what you would normally get at a spa, the prices are a good value and they are exceptionally friendly.

  • We all went up to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris (about $10-$15 pp) and the view is absolutely breath-taking. There is a platform built within the Tower at the top that one of the two elevators takes you to. When you're on the platform (which I would think could hold about 50 people if we packed together) the "wall" is the Eiffel Tower side, so you can stick your hand through and you're hand is "outside." The wind feels great that high up. The view is amazing at night and I suggest going then as well to see the Fountains at Bellagio from right above (since Paris is across the Strip from Bellagio, at that high up, you're almost on top of it).

  • The Bellagio Fountains was definitely something I wanted to see when I went to Vegas, but it was nothing I was excited about. They occur every hour for about 5-10 minutes even during the day, but at night, WOW! You have to grab a good spot along the wall that separates the Fountain pond and the sidewalk on the Strip. You have to get a good spot at least 30 minutes before the show because it starts to fill up fast. I grabbed a good spot in between shows and was in awe. They play music to the water and it really does flow in perfect synchronisity.

Thanks for your insight of Vegas Sheryl. This is one of my favourite travel destinations. Bally's is our hotel of choice too. Are you not allowed to take photo's inside Caesars Forum? Pa
