Pismo Beach Travel Guide: 70 reviews and 176 photos
We spent a long holiday weekend in Pismo Beach. The whole purpose of this short trip was *relaxation* and we did little other than eat, nap, and walk around, on the beach and in the small town. Just what the doctor ordered.
Despite our lack of active exploration, I feel like we got a nice little glimpse of the flavor of the town. Sure, it was a weekend surrounded by other tourists, but in a couple locals-type spots we saw a little casual beach town with some funky undertones.
The sunsets are magical (or at least the two we saw were), and the air feels soothingly clean (at least for us LA types). There is a lot to do outdoors-wise nearby: hikes, birdwatching, playing in sand dunes, kayaking, sea lion-spotting, and lots more. We didn't do any of it. And, this time anyway, that was just fine.
