GEDONG GINCU MANGO

Gedong Gincu Mango that is known in Latin language as Mangifera Indica is one of best mangos developing in West Java. October until December, usually on those months, big amount of a kind of mango are sold.

This kind of mango is physically different from other kinds of mangos we usually see by having ‘apple’ shape, has impressive color (reddish orange), sweet tasted, and quite good smelt.

In the past, this mango was favored by Cirebon kings and palace families and identical withthe social status of its consumers.
Ordinary people were prohibited to consume this kind of mango.
