I ve been in this city many many times since 1974.That means that I ve had the oportunity to see all the evolutions in the city, in the social life,in the way of living. So I was here before Caucescu...with Caucescu and after Caucescu.Tremendous changes. We have to admit that Romanian people was never "communist " even in the communistic period. The legend is that the city was founded by a shepherd with the name bucur ( which means joy in romanian and dwarf in turkish). As far as we understand this shepherd was some kind of "pan" with his flute and wine drinker etc etc .He gave his name to this place and it becomes Bucuresti. The legends. The city is called little Paris because there is a lot of french influence with big boulevards and even arch de Triumph.than it comes the communist sauce and now wellcome to the land of Bucur |
| Vlad Tepes or Count Dracula |
| | Count Dracula The legends doesnt ceased in this land this is also the country of Count Dracula.Who is this man This legend is based on a Voivode de Vachie prince with the name of Vlad Tepes. As you can see in the picture he doesnt have any long teeth and he use to est like any person. No need to say that he was not a vampire but the kickname came from his father .Dracul means "the satan" in Romain. Vlad Tepes was born in Sighisoara and was killed in 1476 within a war with Turkish Bataillon. He was very famous with the torturing profeciency. Blood was a part of his daily activities maybe because of this reason he was known as a vampire. Vlad Tepes never lived in Bran Castle but he was captured there for a while . Thanks God that the Roumanians dont take too much serious this kind of vampire legends but it helps for tourism |
