The city of Thessaloniki has very important role in my life simply because the unforgettable hospitality of the citizens of this lovely city . On the other hand I feel myself "home" ,because this city is the birth place of the greatest Turkish leader and the founder of modern Turkey "Ataturk" at the same time You know that we are a little sensitive with the Greek people in many subjects but this delicate situation doesnt prevent us to "love" and "like" each other in daily life. Thessaloniki is the twin city of Izmir in my country in every aspect as I told you before I feel home in this city |
| | twin city Izmir ( in Turkey) is very similar to the city of Thessaloniki I am trying to show you the similarity with a photo taken by Seref Bilgi in 2004 |

loislois Fri Sep 19, 2008 06:37 UTC Yasou traveloturc! Great comments on your intro page. Yes finally we are so similar and really worth a visit to each others country to realize it. Take care and travel a lot ! Greetings from Selaniki | Kuznetsov_Sergey Sun Oct 7, 2007 08:35 UTC Thanks Macit for your nice page! I quite agree with you about "Byzantion or Roman Occupation" of Turkiye. I'm planning a tour around Greece and I'm thinking over if Thessaloniki is worth a visit. It was ruined in the earthquake. Best regards from Moscow! | andreasfmpro Thu Jun 7, 2007 05:14 UTC That's "Mylos", not to be confused with "Milos island". :) - Andreas | Yiannis2000 Sat Sep 23, 2006 22:45 UTC Great pages here! Iyi aksamlar, you made me miss Kordon so much... |
