This city of Morocco with 700,000 inhabitants is the capital of Tangier-Tetouan region.
The city is situated on the Atlantic side of the Strait of Gibraltar just infront of Europe .In one side Atlantic ocean and in the other side mediterranean sea circle the city.
No need to say that because of his geographically strategic situation the city had many "occupants" in the history

The economic base of the city is shipping, communications, tourism and small scale industry. Tangier has Morocco's largest black economy, where smuggling of people as well as goods between Spain and Morocco is central.
