I finally made it - Stockholm

I finally made it

I'd planned on going to Stockholm so many times and had to abandon my plans for one reason or another, that getting there at last was both slightly unreal and very special. We swooped in low over forests and lakes and everything was almost exactly as I'd expected. Apart from the sun that is, the deep golden sun that accompanied us through harvest fields, more forests and lakes all the way to Stockholm. That sun was such a bonus and it stuck around all the next day as well, painting the walls of Gamla Stan an even deeper red and ochre and making the waterfront sparkle and gleam with reflected light.
