"REMEMBERING HONG KONG!" Hong Kong by pres_16

HONG KONG! My first ever travel abroad was real fun and memorable for me. The trip was totally unplanned. Someone from the house just asked me if I want to go to Hong Kong. And I said, "wonderful, I'd love to and thank God I'm ready."

We left Manila on July 19, 2002 via Phil. Airlines, not to forget the technical problem of the aircraft it had before take off ;( ... it took us one hour and forty minutes to Hong Kong International Airport. We were met by our tour guide, Eric and went directly to Ramada Hotel.

We had so much fun, though some minor blows were met - like Hong Kong being an expensive city, getting lost at midnight in going back to our hotel coming from the mall and some locals who can't seem to understand us when we asked for directions. But, everything just turned out to be fun. We just laugh it all out everytime we remember the experience.

After all, Hong Kong is such a vibrant, dynamic and a spectacular city, day and night - it has a smoke-free air atmosphere, the malls and fashion, the spots we visited and the glistening lights at night from the towering buildings were really fabulous.

Our cable car ride at the Ocean Park thrilled us more and we were delighted by the Dolphin shows... those are a few of the fun things I remember in my Hong Kong experience......

DECEMBER 05 - Stroll around Mong Kok and Admiralty to see a friend again

DECEMBER 06 - Trip to Lantau Island/Disney's Inspiration Lake

In my 5-day itinerary, I was supposed to go to Shenzhen and Guangzhou in China but plans did not push through....
