The Marktplatz in Karlsruhe | The Pyramid in the Marktplatz |
Karlsruhe is a wonderful city in the Baden-Wurttemburg province of Germany. The Transportation is the best I have ever seen. You can easily get to Durlach and Baden-Baden by S-Bahns or Trams. Commuter rail trains easily connect you to Heidelberg and beyond. The train station in Karlsruhe (Hauptbahnhof) is one that the TGV train stops for international destinations.
Karlsruhe is a beatiful city with wonderful cafe's and siteseeing opportunities such as the Schlossgarten-Zoo and its Schloss and gardens. The Marktplatz is the perfect location for lunch or dinner and one can buy vegetables and flowers there as well. The tourism office, which sells tram and S-Bahn tickets, is there as well. Don't forget to see the Pyramid which houses the grave of Margrave Karl Wilhem, founder of the city! |
| | The Schloss in Karlsruhe This is a picture of the Schloss in Karlsruhe. You can climb to the top and there is also a very large and beautiful garden in the back that boasts of a small lake. |
