An Elegant Resort | Cne of the picturesque streets in Baden-Baden |
Baden-Baden is about a 40 minute S-Bahn ride from Karlsruhe's main train station. You can get an all day pass to ride this train for a small price. Just remember that if you do take the train, you really cannot walk to the actual town center. I assumed that you could and it was one long walk! But it was a beautiful one.
Baden-Baden has to be one of the most elegant cities I have ever seen. It appears to have been built as a resort for the very wealthy and there is a lot to see, especially the Rose Garden. |

Belsaita Sat Jun 21, 2008 22:19 UTC Hi! It was shame we were in Baden at the same time but we did not meet... I saw you both for a moment, but too far away (and I was too tired to run!) | MATIM Tue Jun 17, 2008 13:12 UTC My husband Marcel went to Baden-Baden with a VT group, where you in that same group? I went with the kids to the soccer match | jelw Sun Jun 15, 2008 13:05 UTC Sounds like a great place to relax and spa after a long trip. | littlesam1 Thu Jun 12, 2008 21:46 UTC Great tip about taking the bus. I still have the blisters from that long walk. |
