Mosaic Map, Madaba
Just 30 kilometres from Amman, along the 5,000-year-old Kings´ Highway, is Madaba, known as the “City of Mosaics".

Best known for its spectacular Byzantine mosaics, Madaba is home to the famous 6th century Mosaic Map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land, with two million pieces of colored local stone, it depicts The Jordan River, Jericho, The Dead Sea, Jerusalem and the Nile Delta.

Inside the Byzantine Church at Mount Nebo
Mount Nebo is where Moses viewed the Promised Land (Israel) and also the Mount where he died.
Machaerus is the site of one the Kings of Israel named Herod built a fortress. It is here that John The Baptist was beheaded. Not to far away is Bethany Beyond Jordan, the Baptism Site where John baptized Jesus.
