See the Wailing Wall and The Underground Tunnel Tour; The Temple Mount or Dome of the Rock, to the South is the Al Aqsa Mosque; and stroll through the Jewish Cardo, it's shops and see the old columns still standing.
From Lion's (Stephen's ) Gate is the Church of Condemnation and Flagellation, it is from here that the 7 Stations of the Cross start known as via Dolorosa lead to The Holy Sepluchre.
From Damascus Gate, go straight up Nablus Road to see the Garden Tomb and view Calvary. The Falafel at Damascus Gate is great and the sights and sounds are unforgettable.
Other things to do: Walk the Ramparts (the City Walls), Tower of David (Jaffa Gate), The Upper Room a.k.a Last Supper Room/David's Tomb (Zion's Gate), and The City of David. Further away is The Mount of Olives and Garden of Gethsemane.
From Jaffa Gate, walk up the street and continue up to the Ben Yahuda area, shop, and visit the cafes. The area is closed to traffic. Further up is the market - thou preparest a table before me - vegetables, fruit, cheese... it's an experience particularly when crowded with shoppers.
Along the way stop at one of the many cafes and sample the delightful pastry breads stuffed with chocolate, cheese or spinach.
