THIS HOTEL IS WONDERFUL! THE ART DECO AND HISTORY IS AMAZING, MOHAMMAD ALI STAYED HERE , LOCKED IN HIS ROOM FOR 5 DAYS AFTER LOSING A MATCH, CHARLIE PARKER PLAYED HERE, IT WAS BUILT IN 1929 AND FOR 1 DAY WAS THE TALLEST BUILDING IN NY, BOOK A HIGH FLOOR IF YOU GO THE VIEWS ARE FAB!
Unique Qualities: STAFF ARE EXCELLENT, ROOMS GREAT , AND 24 HR DINER IN THE LOBBY, GREAT FOR COFFEE AT 5 IN MORNING, SO NEAR MACEYS AND EMPIRE STATE, SUBWAY ACROSS THE ROAD, 2 DOLLARS ON SUBWAY FROM JFK!!!!

I CANT UNDERSTAND THE BAD REVIEWS ON THIS HOTEL, IVE STAYED TWICE AND THIS HOTEL IS FAB! THE HISTORY ATTACHED TO IT IS AMAZING, MOHAMMAD ALI STAYED HERE AFTER A DEFEAT AND LOCKED HIMSELF IN FOR 5 DAYS! CHARLIE PARKER PLAYED THERE, I THINK ANY BAD REVIEWS WOULD BE FROM PEOPLE WHO STAYED ON LOWER FLOORS, YOU MUST BOOK A HIGH FLOOR THE VIEWS ARE AMAZING! MY ROOM BOTH TIMES WERE NEITHER DINGY OR SMALL! THE DINER IN THE LOBBY IS SO HANDY AND THE LOCATION CANT BE BEATEN!
Unique Qualities: THE LOBBY IS FANTASTIC, THE ART DECO AND THE REAL FEEL OF NEW YORK IS EVERYWHERE!!!
