Restaurant Name: Fontanella Tea Garden
This is a cute little café in the little Mdina, on the very top of the city wall, looking down on the landscape (see photos).
It is not to be missed when you take a stroll through the pretty little maze-like streets of the town. Sit down and take some time to enjoy.
It's special because sitting here you can sit on a terrace that has an amazing view of half of Malta, the cities and the sea behind them. Watch out though, in some periods it might be a little windy up there!
Fontanella is famos for their homemade cakes (especially the chocolate cake) and they really are yummy, but I also had some really nice sandwich-dishes and pizza too, and ofcourse the classic Maltese "pastizzi" (pastries with cheese or peas).
They also have many different nice teas and coffee to go with your superb cake =)
