A cold northern climate promotes many evergreens and low-lying plants. A very sparce landscape, yet very beautiful. We travelled to Alaska last summer and the landscape here was remarkable similar to that in the Yukon. Many mountains and valleys, that were all very green. |
Weather We evidently got very lucky as the weather cooperated the time we were there. Although overcast much the time, we did not get much rain and nothing that interfered with our trip. Cool most the time, which was a welcome break from the hot and humid of Virginia. |
People Throughout Scotland, the people were absolutely wonderful. From the B&B hosts we stayed with to the rental car people, everyone seemed really interested in answering questions and helping if they could. A wonderful sense of humor and genuine love of their city. |
