Pompeii was one of the places i visited during my two weeks in Italy (it was a school trip), back in 1996. We spent a whole day in there, and i found it to be AMAZING!! I mean, in 79AD mount Vesuvius erupted, leaving behind a piece of history. Not only are we now able to look into the past, but a "day in the life" of a pompeii citizen has been preserved for eternity. Even Bread freshly baked was found ( in the bakery?). How is THAT not amazing!?!?!
